Adventure Playgrounds Wales is a family run business with over 15 years’ experience designing, manufacturing and installing high quality timber and steel play equipment. We specialise in providing playground equipment that offers a safe, exciting and challenging environment where children can learn and have fun at the same time. 

Our customers include playgroups, schools, parish councils, local authorities and housing developers; they come to us for interactive playgrounds that inspire play for all ages and abilities – equipment that not only allows children to have fun in a safe environment, but which also captures their imagination and develops their motor and social skills. 

As a family run business, we place great importance on providing a prompt, friendly service - both before and after installation. From design and planning to construction and administration, we ensure your requirements are met at every stage of the project.

Adventure Trails

Adventure trails are an ideal way of allowing groups of children to play together on the same playground. They consist of individual low-level trail items which are linked together in various ways to form a challenging and engaging environment – one that encourages the development of fitness, agility, co-ordination and balance. Adventure Playgrounds Wales have designed four set trails to appeal to different budgets and abilities, but customers can also design their own adventure trail from a choice of trail items, details of which can be found on our website.

Climbing Frames

Adventure Playgrounds Wales can offer a choice of modular climbing frames and towers for children of all ages and abilities. This includes our ‘Toddlers’ climbing frames suitable for children of 2 years+, ‘Dual Level’ frames for children aged 5-8, and our ‘Adventure’ frames designed for 5-12 year-olds. Frames can be designed with a choice of steps, clamber ramps, bridges, scramble nets, down slides and other equipment. All climbing frames are built from quality timber and steel and are designed to last under intense use even in the harshest of environments.

Swings

At Adventure Playgrounds Wales we have a great choice of swings for children of all ages and abilities. Among the most popular are our timber swings, made with 150mm (diameter) timber for a robust structure that will last for generations. These are perfect for all kinds of environments. We also have a selection of metal swings with a standard bar height of 2.4m (except our toddler swing, which is lowered to 1.8m). Zip Wires

Our Aerial Runways (zip wires) add a thrilling dimension to your adventure playground that will keep children engaged for even longer. They feature fully enclosed, noise-reducing polyamide wheels for safe and silent operation, a rubber button seat for comfort and a galvanised chain enclosed in a heat-resistant rubber hose for hand safety. Aerial Runways can be 20-30 metres long, depending on available space, with zip wires installed on level or gently sloping ground. Sand Pits

Adventure Playgrounds Wales also now designs and manufactures sand pits, perfect for young children and suitable for all environments. Our sand pits feature a clever wooden cover that doubles up as a seat for two children; when they’ve finished playing, the cover can be simply folded back over the sand pit to ensure it remains free of leaves and other unwanted dirt and debris. Our standard design measures 1.2 x 1.2 metres and is 21cm high, allowing easy access for young children.

Springies

Whether installed on their own or alongside larger pieces of play equipment, springies are always a hit with the kids. Not only are they incredibly fun, they also help to develop a child’s core stability, co-ordination and balance. Our new range of themed springies have been designed with many attractive shapes and colours and are made with one of the hardest, most robust and resistant materials on the market, ensuring long-lasting fun for generations to come. Roto-moulded, ergonomic seats improve child comfort while polyamide handles help them feel safe and secure.

Surfacing

Nothing is more important to us than the safety of your children, which is why we offer a range of safety surface solutions to help protect them whilst they play. This includes wet pour surfacing, rubber tiles, Safagrass mats and loose fill, all of which are installed by us in accordance with BS EN 1176 and are certified with the requirements of BS EN 1177. Impact absorbing surfaces must be installed beneath all play equipment with a free fall height of 0.6m and above.
