Air Conditioning Courses

The air conditioning and refrigeration industry is a relatively young one, having been developing since the late nineteenth century, and is still very much an industry of growth. This growth means that every year, more employment opportunities open up for personnel wanting to enter the field of refrigeration.

Our air conditioning and refrigeration courses cover servicing, maintenance, recovery and repair, pipework and brazing, principles, safe refrigerant handling and installing systems. Certification includes a HAL certificate, City & Guilds 2079 safe handling of refrigerants or Construction Skills version (Theory & Practical), and Construction Skills Pipework & Brazing (Theory & Practical).

Refrigeration Courses

For suitably qualified personnel with responsibilities in the installation, servicing and maintenance of refrigeration systems, we have Construction Skills Safe Handling of Refrigerants courses of 5 days, 2 days and 1 day in length.

Assessments are performed to standards accepted by the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Industry Board (ACRIB), and consist of 45 multiple choice questions over a period of 1 hour and 30 minutes.

These courses cover basic thermodynamics and indirect leakage checking principles, environmental impact of refrigerants and corresponding environmental regulations, records and commissioning data requirements, leakage checks, handling, storage, transportation and disposal, compressor, condenser and evaporator function and leakage risks, HCFC refrigerants and Montreal Protocol, and hazards.

Safe Handling Of Ammonia Courses

For people with refrigeration experience on ammonia plants who are looking for reassessment, or new candidates who have regular refrigeration experience, we have an ammonia assessment course.

The date of the course can be set to suit the learner/employer's requirements, and there is no need to send staff away for training. Other benefits include the use of your own systems, to improve understanding, and value for money.

Please contact us to book the course or find out more.
