Products

Campell Coutts – with its DCA Electrostatics division – has over thirty years of experience as an industry-leading developer and supplier of flock spraying equipment.

Our Fabricoat line of electrostatic flocking equipment allows our customers to apply an attractive and seamless suede or velvet coating to almost any surface. We develop and fabricate this product range, and a number of accessories, at our 13,000-square-foot Hampshire facility. And we also maintain facilities to develop turn key installations for our customers – complete with 3D computer-aided design layouts to help you visualise your installations.

We keep a large range of flock and adhesives in stock to meet both large and small orders. Special lengths or colours are available for bespoke applications.

Fabricoater

The Fabricoater is our entry-level flock spraying product – portable, battery-powered, and capable of satisfying a range of surface flocking requirements. The Fabricoater is easy to use and suitable for intermittent flocking applications. Customers use the Fabricoater for repairing car interiors such as dashboards and related parts. And this product is ideal for manufacturers who wish to experiment with low-volume flocking.

Microflocker

Our Microflocker product is ideal for flocking smaller and medium-size surfaces. The variable output (with ten output settings) can be combined with an optional smaller flock head – this allows the product to be used in spaces inaccessible to larger flocking units. And the applicator head can be changed in seconds for rapid colour switching. The Microflocker can be powered either from the electricity mains or an external 12Vdc supply.

Fabricoat Series 100

The Series 100 product is an easy-to-use industrial flocking system. Medium-size 3D external surfaces, as well as flat areas, can be applied with a range of flock lengths. Different hopper sizes are available to suit many applications for the Series 100 Fabricoat. And this product can power small tray or booth systems – necessary for bulk-flocking smaller 3D objects. The applicator is light and handheld, for flexibility; and voltage can be switched between 40kV or 60kV, allowing an optimum voltage for various flock lengths and materials.

Fabricoat Series 400

The Fabricoat Series 400 is a powerful flocking product. The device has an infinitely variable output; a meter shows the voltage being applied at any given moment and thus the flocking output. Large and small areas can be flocked with a wide range of materials lengths. Different hopper sizes can be used for various industrial flocking applications. And the supplied generator is capable of driving not only trays and flocking booths but also small conveyor systems.

Fabricoat Tray Systems

We supply a tray system for the Fabricoat line of flockers as an optional accessory to your flocking solution. Objectives coated with adhesive and due to be flocked are held above a special try holding the charged fibres to be used for the flocking – the fibres are then attracted to the adhesive-coated item. The tray then catches unused fibres for reuse.

Aeroflocker

Objects with crevices, recessed areas, sharp angles, and cavities, have always been a challenge for flocking processes. The Faraday Cage effect means that fibres with an electrostatic charge are attracted to the nearest earthed surface – missing crevices and other inaccessible spots. A pneumatic or blown electrostatic flocking solution is needed to overcome this difficulty. Our Aeroflocker offers exactly this functionality – an easily adjustable stream of charged flock. Customers can reach any nook and cranny with this sophisticated system. And this product allows for a wide range of easy customisation of your flocking process parameters. Please visit our website for full technical details.

Fabricoat Pneumatic System

The pneumatic system accessory for the Fabricoat line is a complete manual unit with combined pneumatic and electrostatic control; an applicator gun for both modes, with a low capacity non-inductive cable, a trigger control and earth cable, a material hose for flock, and an extension nozzle. The product also comes with a century pump, a flock hopper, and a support frame. Please visit our website for full technical details.

Turboflocker

Our Turboflocker product extends the functionality of the Aeroflocker device with added power. The Turboflocker goes beyond the Aeroflocker by offering customers the opportunity to blast flocking into profile and pockets – not just hard angles or crevices. The Turboflocker comes with a self-contained heavy-duty main process unit, applicator gun, 6kg flock hopper but with capacity to use as little as 100gm of flock, high-power power supply, automatic stirrer, and a range of other features. Please visit our website for full technical details.

Fabricoat Conveyor Units

Our Fabricoat conveyor units are the perfect solution for coating 2D objects – mats, pictures, cutlery trays, table surfaces, etc – with flock in high volumes. Our conveyor system includes an overhead flock hopper and dispenser, a high-voltage generator for high volume production, and a customised control system made to order and suited to your specific applications and needs. Please visit our website for full technical details.

Flocking Chamber

We offer a contained flocking chamber for the time-saving and easy to setup automatic flocking of 3D objects without any challenging angles or crevices. Please visit our website for full technical details.

Test Equipment

We supply a range of test equipment for measuring and testing your flocking process and your finished products. The Electrospray Paint Test Meter is built to offer manufacturers and users of electrostatic paint with a solid and reliable, cost-effective way of checking paint resistivity and thus their suitability for electrostatic painting. The Sprayshop analyser is a high-voltage digital test meter designed to conduct a range of essential tests in flocking processes. And the SSA E1 is a lower-cost version of the Sprayshop – suitable for scenarios where only small flocking processes need to be tested and checked. Please visit our website for full technical details.

Nylon Flock Fibres

We offer a large of number nylon flock fibres, in a range of colours and a series of quantities, with different lengths and decitex measurements, suitable for a wide variety of flocking applications. Please visit our website for full details on colours, quantities, and measurements.

Flock Adhesives

No flocking solution is complete without adhesives – this layer of adhesive is what joins your flock to a substrate. A number of adhesives are available, each suitable for different types of flock and the different materials of various product surfaces, so using the right adhesive is a critical part of your manufacturing process. We offer a wide variety of adhesives for all purposes with various level of electrostatic conductivity – and they can be applied by brushing, spraying, dipping, or silk-screening. Please visit our website for full details on adhesive types (including water, acetone, and other solvents) suitable for different temperatures, process times, application surfaces, and other variables.
