Since our inception in 1976, Anglia Land Surveys Ltd has swiftly grown to be one of the leading measured survey companies in East Anglia.  As GPS land surveyors, we specialise in topographical land surveys, measured building surveys, flood risk assessments, site set out, utility surveys, CCTV surveys and boundary disputes.  All our surveys are produced to ISO9001/2000 standard, ensuring the highest quality surveying at all times.  Our surveyors are knowledgeable and experienced and, using the latest measuring equipment, provide detailed and extremely accurate measured surveys that are always cost effective.  We aim for fast delivery as well, with most surveys completed and delivered to clients within 10 days.  Working with both local and national companies in many different sectors, we aim always to ensure our customers receive a speedy, accurate and reliable survey service that is suited to each company’s specific needs.  We are always happy to discuss your requirements in detail and come up with the right solution.  Attention to detail and attention to our clients’ needs, as well as making full use of up to date equipment and techniques, are keys to the ongoing success of Anglia Land Surveys Ltd.

Land Surveys

When you are beginning to plan a development, you can be assured of saving time and money by working with a topographical land surveyor.  At Anglia Land Surveys Ltd we excel in carrying out accurate topographical surveys, delivering the scale and detail most suited to your needs.  We provide data regarding buildings, fences, trees levels, surfaces and road locations, as well as drainage information.  You will receive CAD drawings and plans on film or paper, or on digital CD/DVD, or even by email.  Have a look at our website to see examples of land and GPS surveys.

Building Surveys

Our highly experienced building surveyors are experts when it comes to producing measured floor plans to your specifications.  We employ total station theodolytes, PowerCAD floor plan/elevation software and hand-held measuring lasers.  We have experience in working in a wide variety of different environments – from listed buildings and churches to business premises and retail stores to private homes and industrial warehouses and much more.  Building surveys are used in an array of applications including new builds, extensions, refurbishments, redesign and restoration, title plans and fire regulation plans – to name a few examples.  We encourage you to take a look at our website where you will see samples of building survey work we have carried out.

Land Registry Lease Plans

The Land Registry Act 2003 requires the submission of a Land Registry Lease Plan for all new leases in the UK.  We are acknowledged experts in this area, surveying lease plans for shops, offices, private homes and industrial units.  Fully compliant with the Land Registry Act, our plans start out with a site visit by one of our surveyors to measure things up.  A lease plan floor plan, drawn to scale, is then produced.  We further provide a highlighted Ordinance Survey extract.  A CAD drawing, colour coded and annotated, is produced and provided to you in either PDF or CAD format, as well as paper copy.  We take pride in accuracy and detail as well as speed, with our aim being to complete your new lease drawing within 48 hours.

GPS Surveyors

We utilise GPS (Global Positioning System) RTK (Real Time Kinematic) satellite information to gather comprehensive data over open areas, quickly and at a good price.  Our GPS survey equipment provides a detail of accuracy at approximately +/- 20mm.  GPS systems are an excellent means of surveying, without the need for a line of sight between two points, allowing us to set up quickly and then cover a very large area in a surprisingly short time.  GPS is a key element in preparing Flood Risk Assessments (FRA) for submission to the Environment Agency.  See our website for details of a FRA carried out in Suffolk, as an example.

Utility Surveys

We have been mapping underground services for more than 10 years and understand the crucial importance of locating buried services before any excavation work begins.  We start off by getting hold of and studying the statutory records to produce a desk top study.  Moving on to site, we employ electromagnet locators (EML) and ground penetrating radar (GPR).  By making use of a combination of techniques we are able to produce a detailed map of both metallic and non-metallic buried services, so you can proceed safety with your planned development.

CCTV Surveys

At Anglia Land Surveys Ltd we have an expert CCTV (closed circuit television) crew, as well as all the necessary equipment to enable us to provide an accurate account of the routes and condition of drainage systems.  A camera is mounted on to a rod to produce a real-time video of the camera’s passage through the site, clearly depicting any defects in the drainage system.  We then pass a small transmitter (called a sonde) through the pipes, which gives off a signal that is located by our electromagnetic locators.  The end result is a comprehensive picture of the condition of the drainage system.  This service can be provided at full or half day rates, or as part of a full site survey package.

Setting Out

Once your architects and engineers have completed their designs and layout drawings, using information from our initial site surveys, the next step is to go back to site to position and set out building, road and drainage layouts.  Anglia Land Surveys offers setting out and design services at reasonable hourly or daily rates.  If you prefer, we can provide your site engineers with detailed setting out information, using coordinated spreadsheets, schedules and annotated drawings.  Visit our website to learn more about our key areas of expertise, which include, but are not limited to, control establishment and maintenance, coordinated pegging out to local grid and to Ordnance Survey national grid, platform and earthwork design, land and sewer surveys for highway adoption and reservoir design and setting out.

Boundary Disputes

The whole area of border disputes is problematic and full of uncertainties.  Fortunately, at Anglia Land Surveys we have dealt successfully over the years with a large number of boundary disputes, using our expertise and the very latest technologies to bring about resolution.  We know that disputing a boundary can be stressful, with very real implications when it comes to selling a property.  A Land Surveyor is the ideal person to deal with such situations, so contact us for assistance.  We believe we can resolve most disputes in the fastest, most effective and affordable manner.  You can see more about boundary dispute resolution on our website.

Laser Scanning

At Anglia Land Surveys we have both the equipment and the experienced staff to undertake all sorts of laser scanning from simple cloud point data to BIM (Building Information Modelling) data.   We employ the very latest Leica C10 HDS laser scanner and our staff are fully trained in the use of this model.  Our data can be used in Autocad, Revit or other similar modelling packages.  Contact us to let us know your requirements.
