Fiber Lasers
Offer a new and exciting complementary technology to the world of industrial lasers.
The JK FL range of Fiber Lasers has been designed from the ground up to give industrial laser users the optimum solution for their applications.
Unlike a conventional laser which is constructed from components such as mirrors, rods and lenses a fiber laser is an all bulk material device.
The laser rod is effectively substituted by a length of doped active fiber several metres long.
The rest of the components are also all fiber devices each of which are spliced together to
form a laser resonator. An immediate advantage of this is that there is no need for alignment, adjustment or subsequent cleaning of optical surfaces once the laser has been built, which means little or no maintenance requirement.
Lamp pumped lasers
The established technology for the highest levels of shopfloor reliability and ease of use for laser welding, cutting and drilling applications.
GSI's range of JK and Spectron lamp pumped lasers use solid-state Nd:YAG laser crystals, pumped by precision flashlamps, to generate infra-red laser energy, giving good interaction with a broad range of materials, especially metals.
