Welding Plant - Feronius Super 500 Transistor power sources. These
synergic pulsed MIG units have water-cooled torches and TR21 microprocessor
software development parameters available for all materials.
Non-Destructive Testing - It is company policy that this be contracted to
a specialist company as an independent record of quality. A local company is
well qualified and equipped for this work. Other companies, with the
required skills and qualifications, are also available locally.
Cranage and Handling:
- Fabrication, machining and assembly - 7 tons. 20 ton crane in loading
bay.
- Fabrication manipulators.
- Shot-blasting and paint shop - fixtures (indexing where required).
Final Machining - of complete fabricated assemblies is carried out
in-house.
Finishing Operations - Components are mounted on trolleys and
shot-blasted in-house to SA 2½ standards. They are then transferred to
mobile, indexable paint fixtures. Painting is carried out with pressure pot
spraying equipment in front of two water extraction paint booths. They are
removed to the drying area after each coat of paint to achieve the required
dry film thickness.
