Foundrometers Instrumentation Ltd have been manufacturing quality measurement and control instruments since 1916.
Our main focus is on the measurement, indication and control of rotational speed (tachometers).
We and our sister company (Rheintacho) are tachometer manufacturers who produce mechanical directly coupled (eddy current) tachometers, analogue indicators and the corresponding tacho generators, non contact speed sensors, electronic speed control relays, frequency convertors and all ancillary coupling and mounting equipment.
In addition, we are one the worlds largest manufacturers of hand held tachometers and inspection/diagnostic stroboscopes.
We also manufacture temperature, pressure and counting instrumentation.
The Foundrometers name has been established in the UK for more than 85 years.
During this time, we have earned an outstanding reputation as UK tachometer manufacturers, producing instruments which can withstand harsh environments whilst maintaining accuracy and giving long service.
Today, supported by a network of overseas representatives, we trade with major concerns and government departments world-wide.
Areas of expertise are in the manufacture of instruments which measure, indicate, switch, record, control and transmit parameters of temperature, pressure, speed, count and position.
In 1991 we acquired
the manufacturing rights to several of the Sydney Smith & Dennis Ltd
temperature lines. Sydney Smith had in turn acquired these lines several
years earlier from The Nottingham Thermometer Company.
We developed and added to these
lines to arrive at the current range of temperature controllers and
indicators thus continuing the proud tradition of these previous two
companies.
The range today covers special controllers for use on Electrical
transformers, thermometers, recorders, industrial high temperature
thermostats and temperature switches.
Many of these instruments are designed for specific applications in
keeping with our company philosophy of working closely with our customers
to arrive at specific cost effective solutions.

Foundrometers have manufactured specialised
counters for over 50 years. In the year 2003 we were appointed
representatives for IVO counters. IVO have the largest range of counters
in the world. For standard applications we offer the IVO range and for
specialised requirement we continue to offer our own manufacture.
This combination allows Foundrometers to meet virtually all applications. |
