H.M.T. have over 100 years experience specialising in tool making and injection moulding.  Producing injection tools, blow moulds and form tools to all sectors of industry, including the medical, automotive and defence industry, we thrive on even the most complicated jobs where others would struggle. 

Our in house facilities are capable of manufacturing and producing plastic mouldings from 0.1 gram up to 3kg.  After spending £1 million pounds on machinery for the toolroom and mouldshop, this gives us the most up to date, state of the art equipment available.  With three CAD/CAM seats linked to our high speed 3D milling centres and CNC spark erosion centres machining tolerances of 0.01mm are easily achievable.  All this enables us to produce a tool and sample it in 1-2 weeks!!  At a better quality and a price that competes with China.

HMT can Offer Invaluable Design Assistance - We operate 3 seats of high end Design and Machining CAD/ CAM software, including Edgecam or Cirratron. HMT offer FREE design/ advice to all our customers.  Our vast experience and high tech design programmes enable us to guarantee to get your project right, large or small, 1st time every time.  Our experienced team of designers can help you turn your idea into reality.  We seldom manufacture an item straight from the customer CAD files.  Usually we are involved in the design process at some stage; either ‘tweaking’ existing designs for maximum benefit or more usually, designing them from scratch.  We are happy and able to meet your individual project requirements. 

HMT Can Meet Your Prototyping Requirements - We have all the equipment needed to produce not only a prototype but a finished tool in house and in most instances, to manufacture the item it is designed to make.  A prototype makes testing and proving quick, straightforward and consequentially, cost effective.  Prototype tools can be made from hardened Steel, P20 or Aluminium.  Parts for prototyping can be kept cost effective by using our multi-bolster system.  Using this system we only make the inserts, not the bolster.  This is a huge saving in time and costs.  These inserts can be easily modified until the part or design is correct.

With Plastic Injection and Tool Making facilities on one site, we are able to make modifications or repairs to tools quickly and accuratley.  Tools can be single impression or multi cavity with simple or shaped split lines.  Seven of our twelve strong workforce are fully skilled Toolmakers so we can offer a superior service.
