up to 1.5mm deep in all grades of carburising steels. NO stop-off to
prevent carburisation is possible but partial immersion is possible.

Sealed
Quench (Atmosphere) Heat Treatment
To
serve the need for larger batches of tool steel and sinter metal components
Sealed Quench (Atmosphere) Furnaces have been introduced to our facility.
Continuous
Mesh Belt Furnaces
In
all circumstances a uniform consistency is achieved between batches, with none
of the 'masking' resulting in varying hardness associated with other methods.
A huge variety of
small components can be processed in a wide range of materials. Hardening and
case hardening temperatures of up to 900 degrees centigrade can be reached, with
a maximum achievable case depth on case hardened parts of around 0.015".
All
quenching is in oil.
Vacuum
Hardening
The
control of the process uses the latest PC technology, controlling furnace
temperature with two thermocouples and the actual temperature of the work being
treated using up to four thermocouples. Charts and graphs can be printed
off and supplied on request to accompany any other certification.
We aim to be able to cover
almost all your heat treatment needs, including being able to offer hot Chemical
Blacking. This process etches a very fine black surface coat, which not
only provides a final cosmetic finish but also affords a certain level of rust
prevention.
