Advanced
Lasers
The
development of a high power diode array and its application to transmission
welding provides the impetus for a genuine advance in the welding of
plastics. It offers a number of advantages over the more traditional
techniques such as hot plate and vibration welding. This method has
shown its capability to produce joints in excess of parent material strength
even when applied to 'difficult-to-weld', materials, paving the way for
components to be produced from low cost thermoplastic materials,
polypropylene and co-polymers

Experience
In
addition to the use of laser diodes, Warwick Laser Systems Ltd. has wide
ranging experience in the application of CO2 and Nd:Yag lasers,
so the company is able to provide a total solution for the range of
applications of laser technology in the processing of thermoplastic
materials.

especially when marking, cutting or welding metal components.
