EVAS - The BVRD2M routeing matrix enables the user to modify settings via a laptop computer by simply connecting it to the front panel of the BVRD2M and running the Configurator software. The user can then quickly update the functions of the routeing matrix, saving valuable on site engineering time.
By using the USB2 port on the front panel and a USB2 cable it is possible to program the BVRD2M by the use of simple configuration pages. The software takes the user through step by step, with easy to understand pages. Adjustments to the BVRD2M system that can be made include: volume levels, EQ, monitoring modes, high pass filters, chimes, surveillance and ambient noise.
OmniCare - VIGIL OmniCare is a fully addressable emergency voice communication system that allows disabled refuge, fire telephones and disabled toilet alarm remote units to be connected to just one system. The system has two main components; a Master Control Panel and the Remote units. The Master Control Panel is available in various options: 8 - 128 way. Control panels also function as slave panels when wired into a VIGIL OmniCare system on the ring circuit loop. The Master Control Panel is normally wall mounted within a central control room, with additional panels at other locations for control of local areas, e.g. in a stairwell or fallback position. The remote units are supplied in four different styles: Disabled Refuge, Fire Telephone, Disabled Toilet Alarm and combined Disabled Refuge/Fire telephone.
VIGIL Eclipse2 - The VIGIL Eclipse2 is a cost-effective wall-mountable voice alarm, or public address, system which has the ability to handle up to seven single or four dual circuit zones. The unit incorporates the standard VIGIL2 amplifiers and switch mode power supply and house.
The stand-alone system provides a highly-efficient solution to the voice alarm market and its simple design enables straight-forward installation and commissioning. As with all Baldwin Boxall voice alarm products, it simply connects to leading fire alarm panels via the internal fire alarm interface. VIGIL Eclipse2 is supplied as standard with two BEL1 end of line monitoring devices allowing system monitoring (more BEL1 units may be required depending on the size of the proposed system). Any faults are stored within a fault log which can be viewed either via the front panel or simply downloaded via the USB2 port.
At the heart of the system is a DSP controlled routeing matrix which offers the same features as the VIGIL EVAS BVRD2M, please refer to routeing page of this site.
The main features are: Parametric EQ on all eight inputs and seven outputs,
Six CD quality flash-stored messages, One 'all call' failsafe emergency message, Ambient noise sensing, Auto amplifier changeover, USB2 port allowing system configuration, message revision via laptop, Fault and history logging, Realtime clock.
Fully BS5839 part 8 and EN60849 compliant, the VIGIL Eclipse2 is smaller than its predecessor measuring only 480mm (W) x 200mm (D) x830mm (H). The whole system is powered by a 230V AC 50-60Hz power supply and comes with battery backup to allow the system to fully function should the mains power supply fail.
The unit is ideal for a decentralised network as it is possible to link 128 units and also can form part of a larger VIGIL EVAS voice alarm system.
This innovative voice alarm/public address system can work in almost any situation, whether in an office, shopping centre, airport, factory, school, leisure complex, etc, making it the ideal solution for any small, medium or even large project.
Vigil/Vigil2 - VIGIL2 is a Voice Alarm, Public Address system designed specifically to meet the life safety issues contained within BS5839 part 8 and EN60849.
Research has proven that in an emergency people will react without confusion or panic if they receive a clear, intelligible message. Bells and sounders only give a warning, what that warning is, is never clear. Phased evacuation using clear, easily understood, pre-recorded messages ensure that even untrained personnel are evacuated speedily and efficiently.
In a VIGIL2 system all critical signal paths from the Fire Officers microphone, through the amplifiers to the end of the loudspeaker lines, are monitored. Battery backup comes as standard. The power supply and internal battery charger are also fully monitored. This ensures that the system is always available when it is needed most, during an emergency.
