Technifast is a manufacturer and distributor of engineering fasteners, specialising in pins and dowels, spacers, inserts and keys.
The company was formed in 1990 and in 2002, added a manufacturing facility to produce non-standard parts to supplement the standard range. In 2005, we moved to larger custom-built premises to provide space to expand our manufacturing facilities.
Products:
Expansion Inserts - Expansion Inserts are an easy to assemble alternative to other types where a durable thread is required, but the high pull-out resistance of a self-tapping or heat/ultrasonic is not essential.
Heat or Ultrasonic Inserts - Heat or Ultrasonic Inserts can only be used in thermoplastic materials.
- The insert is either pre-heated or uses heat generated by ultrasonic vibration to soften the walls of the holw as it is pressed into position.

- Self-Tapping Inserts are the mose universal type of insert as they can be used in the widest range of materials and have a high resistance to pull-out.
Gib-Head Keys
Gib-Head Keys are stocked in C45k key steel, with a minimum tensile strength of 60Kg/mm².
Keysteel
Keysteel in available in 300 and 1000mm lengths in C45k material. Stainless Steel grade A4 is also available in some sizes.
Parallel Keys
Parallel Keys are stocked in C45k key steel, with a minimum tensile strength of 60Kg/mm². Stainless Steel grade A4 is available to order.
Woodruff Keys
Woodruff Keys are stocked in C45k key steel, with a minimum tensile strength of 60Kg/mm². Stainless Steel grade A4 is available to order.
