Microbac is a technically based company well established in the area of biological treatment of wastewaters using adapted microbial products. The Company offers a total service to solve wastewater treatment problems across a wide spectrum of municipal and industrial sectors, including the oil and gas industry, both on and offshore, and the petrochemical, chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries.
All projects are approached in a phased manner, allowing the client to assess the situation at each stage, prior to further financial commitment. On request, a Microbac engineer will undertake a site survey to assess the extent of any problem and then take samples for analysis and the determination of biological treatability using Microbacs micro-organisms. These tests are carried out in the Companys own laboratories by a team of professional scientists and the results are used to formulate a proposal and costing for a subsequent treatment programme. Where appropriate, an on-site treatment trial will be recommended using a mobile Bioreactor and the appropriate degrading biological cultures. These trials serve two purposes. The first is the provision of the necessary data to design a full scale treatment unit, tailored to the wastewater in question, and the second is to demonstrate to the client the overall viability of the system, its ease of operation and the low maintenance and running costs. From the data provided by the trial or from analysis and treatability results, a full-scale treatment system can be designed, constructed and installed and then commissioned by seeding with Microbacs biological cultures.
From the early stages of a contract, through to the completion of the project, Microbac will work closely with the client to provide the most efficient and cost effective means of solving specific wastewater problems using biological techniques.
